BTU is the only department in UiTM that responsible to manage and disseminate any university official information which applies to the whole University system for the purposes of planning, managing, conducting or auditing University governance functions either manually or electronically. University's official information that managed and distributed by BTU are:
- Student information (enrollment, intake, graduate, and projection)
- Staff information
- Research, Consultation and Publication information
- Institutional Research information (tracer study, impact, optimum and etc)
- University general information
